First Post

This is my first post here — on a site that, after some experimentation with Jekyll, ended up being built with a framework I had not even heard of until recently: Astro.

For years, I had wanted a place to write — a space that felt truly my own, and whose future would not depend on the decisions, policies, or constant changes of a publishing platform. That is one of the things I have always liked about having a personal website: you can build something, make it your own, and keep improving it over time.

I first registered this domain back in 2009. At the time, content management systems — especially WordPress — were everywhere. While I always appreciated what they made possible, I was never particularly interested in building WordPress themes or plugins. Instead of working within a content management system, I was more interested in building websites myself and getting into the technical details behind them.

Where It All Started

My interest in the web goes back to my teenage years, around 2004. Web technologies were much simpler then than they are today. That was when I built my first static web pages and published them online through a free hosting provider.

For me, it was about more than just learning a few HTML tags and using Microsoft FrontPage. It was the excitement of creating something that existed beyond my own computer — something that other people could actually see.

That interest only grew stronger over the years. Life took me in different directions at times, and there were periods when I stepped away from web development altogether. Still, the desire to build things and learn new things never really went away.

Why Start Writing Again?

Since my teenage years, I have followed both Persian- and English-language blogs, and occasionally contributed a few posts of my own along the way. Developers, engineers, writers, technology enthusiasts — I have learned something from all of them over the years.

Even with the rise of social media, I still think personal blogs have a special place. They give us room to write more thoughtfully, document what we learn, and share experiences without many of the constraints that come with social platforms.

What You Will Find Here

Above all, this blog is about learning and building.

Along with the occasional personal thought or reflection, I will mostly be writing about software development, software engineering, artificial intelligence, technology, and sometimes hardware. Some posts will simply be notes from my own learning journey. Others may be useful to someone else learning along the way.

Outside of technology, I am also interested in literature, music, and the arts, so those topics may find their way into these pages from time to time as well.

If this blog helps someone learn something new, think differently, or build something useful, then it will have served its purpose.
